Facilities modernization
modernization and additional equipping of operational ranges and training facilities
Short description
Upgrading and retrofitting existing ranges and training grounds to meet modern requirements, standards, and an expanded scope of tasks. Relevant when equipment has become obsolete technologically or physically, when a facility is planned for new uses, or when throughput capacity needs to be increased without constructing a new facility.
Work begins with a survey: we document the current condition of equipment, infrastructure, and utilities, identify bottlenecks, and establish priorities. We propose solutions that can be implemented without suspending facility operations — phased, with no prolonged downtime.
New equipment is integrated into the existing infrastructure: control systems, target systems, and communications equipment. If equipment is from different manufacturers, we work out compatibility and, when necessary, implement integration solutions. Modernization is typically significantly less expensive than building a new facility while delivering comparable functional gains.
